Ellis Havoc (she/her) is a 26-year-old lifelong Appalachian & is proud of it. She currently lives in Kanawha County, WV, with her doting husband and three black cats. Ell attended the University of Louisville where she received a BA in Political Science, focusing on and researching comparative politics, geopolitics, international law, antiterrorism, hate groups, and disinformation. She holds a Juris Doctorate and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky.

Ell is an actress, model, speaker, & organizer with a flare for pizzaz. Her visual art style skews toward the impressionists, who seemed to “play with light” like no others when it comes to painting. Her love of writing started early, and when she was in the sixth grade she won her first art and writing competition, and the rest is history. By seventeen, she was published in national literary journals & magazines. By eighteen, her speaking & organizing work had been featured by HuffPost & other national news media outlets. As far as music goes, she started out in her church’s children’s choir and never stopped singing, eventually going on to place in singing competitions & joining a bluegrass and blues band. She often performs music when she is asked to speak, as it is hard (arguably impossible) to separate her artistic side from her academic side. Now, she is focusing on her hard rock/metal project: THE PARIAHS.
